We're excited to welcome you in Todos Santos!

Flying in

The closest airport is Los Cabos (SJD). From there, it is a ~75 minute drive along the Pacific coast of Baja to get to Todos Santos.

To make it in time for our Welcome Party on Thursday evening, please plan to land by noon on Thursday, January 14th. The welcome event begins at 4pm and we don't want you to miss it!

Getting to Todos Santos

From the airport, you have two options for getting to Todos Santos:

Shuttle

You can book a private shuttle to and from the airport (book here). All of our events are located close to one another in town, so a shuttle is all you need if you're staying nearby.

Car rental

We usually rent a car when we go down to Todos Santos. Our wedding planner has set up a preferred rate with National Car Rental to keep things simple. But most major car rental companies have a presence, so feel free to pick your favorite. One heads up: rental rates online can look very affordable, but Mexico requires local insurance regardless of your credit card coverage, so expect to pay an additional ~$100/day at the counter for this.

Where to stay

Accommodations have already been arranged for the wedding party at Hacienda Todos Los Santos and Hotel Casa Tota.

We've reserved a block of rooms for our guests at Grupo Guaycura, a boutique hotel in the heart of Todos Santos, just a 5-minute walk to our wedding venue. To reserve your room, email our wedding planner Bere at bere@marthaayalaweddings.com.

There are also many great Airbnbs in and around Todos Santos. If you go this route, we recommend renting a car as well, since most are a short drive from town.

Things to do

Please join us for all three of our wedding events Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! And in any additional downtime you have, here are a few of our favorite spots in and around Todos Santos:

Shop

  • The Blanket Factory: Family-run roadside shop just south of town. We spent an hour there, learned how the loom works, and bought the handmade blanket that's featured in our save the date picture
  • La Sonrisa de la Muerte: Print gallery in town featuring woodblock prints, inspiration for the cactus block print in our invitations
  • Todos Santos Market: Good spot for wandering around and picking up small souvenirs

Eat & drink

  • Jazamango: Farm-to-table restaurant set in an orchard (~20 minute walk or short drive out of town)
  • The Green Room: Aesthetic spot on the beach, great cocktails (~15 minute drive north of town, on a dirt road but worth it)

Outdoors

  • Punta Lobos hike: Park at the Hotel San Cristóbal parking lot to access the trail head, then several options for hike length and difficulty (can do a 2-3 mile out-and-back if you're normal, or 10+ miles if you're a Rhine or Rios)
  • Cerritos Beach: Best (and only) place you can actually get in the water. Consider taking surf lessons at Mario Surf School!

Travel tips

Passport & entry

A valid passport is required to enter Mexico. Make sure yours is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. No visa is required for US citizens.

Power & plugs

Good news! Mexico uses the same outlets and voltage as the US, so no adapters needed.

Currency

The local currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN). Most restaurants and shops in Todos Santos accept credit cards, but we recommend carrying some pesos for local markets, small shops, and tips. The ATMs in Mexico don't beep at you to take your card out, so make sure you remember to grab it before you walk away :)
